Ülkemizde deve güreşlerinin ilk olarak İncirliova ilçesi Hıdırbeyli köyünde 200 yıl kadar önce yapılamaya başlandığı ve günümüze kadar geldiği bilinmektedir. Göçerliğin yaygın olduğu o dönemde göçerler ve obalar arası rekabet nedeniyle ortaya çıkan deve güreşleri süreklilik kazanıp geleneksel hale gelerek günümüze kadar ulaşmıştır. Yörük kültürünün bulunduğu tüm bölgelerimizde bilinmektedir ve her yıl düzenli olarak çeşitli şehirlerimizde yapılmaktadır.
