Beyazıt Kulesi,eski İstanbul yangınlarını gözetleme ve itfaiye kuvvetlerine (tulumbacılara) haber vermek amacıyla İstanbul'un Beyazıt semtinde ilk olarak 1749 yılında ahşap olarak yapılmış 85 metre yükseklikte olan bu kule.180 basamaklıdır...Ben 60 lı yıllarda talabe iken arkadaşlarımla 2-3 sefer içine girip tahta merdivenlerinden üst kata kadar çıkıp,İstanbul'un doyumsuz manzarasını seyretmiştim,geçenlerde gittiğimde artık içine girilmiyormuş sadece dıştan çekme fırsatı buldum...
