Rodin’in onca heykeli varken “Düşünen Adam” heykelinin kopyasının akıl hastanesinin bahçesine dikilmesi fikri O dönemde heykelden çok gazetecileri bir düşünce almış. ‘Neden düşünen adam heykeli dikildiği’ sorgulanmaya başlanmış,Gazeteler hastanenin başhekimi Dr. Faruk Bayülkem gülerek gazetecilere, “Hastane dışındakilerin durumu içerdekilerden daha kötü. Bu heykel onların durumu ne olacak diye düşünüyor.” yanıtını verdiğini söylenir.
