ZELVE / CAPPADOKIA

Zelve Kapadokya bölgesinin en eski ve en uzun süre kullanılmış yerleşim yeridir. Hıristiyanlığın bölgede ilk yayılmaya başladığı yer olarak bilinir. İçinde manastırlar, kiliseler ve yerleşim yerleri bulunmaktadır. Bölge hıristiyanlık döneminin sona ermesinden sonra da 1950'li yıllara kadar köy olarak kullanılmış. O yıllarda kaya evler içinde yaşayan insanlar daha sonra vadiye 2 km uzaklıkta kurulan Zelve Köyü'ne taşınmışlar. Zelve yolu Avanos-Göreme yolu üzerinden ayrılır ve Paşabağı Vadisi'ne yaklaşık 1 km. kadar uzaklıktadır. Rahat kıyafetler ve ayakkabılar giymeyi unutmayın çünkü biraz tırmanmak ve değişik yerler keşfetmek isteyeceksiniz.
