Payas'ta Sokollu Mehmet Paşa Külliyesi ile deniz kıyısı arasında hakim bir tepe üzerine inşa edilmiştir. Kulenin Cenevizliler ya da Haçlılar tarafından yaptırıldığı sanılmaktadır. Kare planlı, tamamen kesme taştan yapılan bu eser gözetleme kulesi olarak yapılmıştır.
