Pentax is one of two companies, which use in-body shake reduction (SR). K10D added a 3rd dimension to the two-axis function, so that circular movements can also be detected and eliminated. SR function is especially effective with telephoto lenses.
As the camera uses first-in-class 800 MHz DDR2 buffer memory, it can write unlimited numbers of JPEG pictures to fast memory cards.
BODY
Inside body cage is constructed with titanium material. As the outside is covered with poly carbon hardened plastic, water and dust sealing is achieved.
It is the biggest d-slr from Pentax with dimensions of 141.5mm.x101mm.x70mm and weighs 710g (w/o battery).
Handling is excellent and gives a pro body feel. Plastic coating can eliminate any slip caused by sweaty hands.
