The Digital Preview used in K100D is also kept the same in K10D. When On-Off switch is turned right for 3rd function, a photo is taken, shown in LCD screen but not recorded to memory card. This way, you can check depth-of-field, color and exposure. Since the photo is not recorded to memory card, this function can be used rapidly.
In playback mode, EXIF values, histogram (in 3 colors if desired), focal distance can be reviewed.
There are no grid lines in K10D's visor. But interchangeable eyepieces ensure availability of this gridded eyepiece. These can be purchased optionally.
It has 11-point auto focus areas. These are multi-segment, center weighted average and spot measurement. Spot measurement enables measurement in 1/100 area of the photography frame.
9 out of all 11 AF point sensors in K10D are cross-type. In standard auto focus sensors, contrast is measured one-way. In these cross-type sensors contrast is measured both horizontally and vertically. This enables fast and correct auto-focus, and focusing capability in low light-conditions.
